‘…..friends and parishioners in affectionate remembrance of the
Rev John Hanbury MA eighteen years curate of this parish
at rest April 4th 1899 aged 43 years.
In loving memory of his widow
Gertrude Jane Lane
born July 5th 1865 died March 1923
laid to rest at St Mary's Amersham.
“The Lord lift up the light of his countenance upon thee and give thee peace”
In loving memory of his elder son
John Humphrey Freer Hanbury MA
born in this parish 25th June 1886 died June 18th 1934,
laid to rest in the English Cemetery Seville.’
